Advancing Forward Together has been amazing, we have tried many independent supports and other service providers prior to finding them and just couldn’t find someone that was consistent and focused on our goals and interests. Our support worker is always on time, kind, compassionate and always willing to be part of our day to day life. We have a complex family and some days can be harder than others.  Tommy has started joining in community based activities and has gained so much confidence. We have regular weekly support but we like that we can call up and request additional support if we need it. We couldn’t be happier and seeing the smile on Tommy’s face when he has been to Australia Zoo and made some friends is a parents dream come true.

I have been with Advancing Forward Together since the commencement of my NDIS plan, I have a regular support worker, Kylie who comes to me twice a week. I also have domestic assistance (Cleaning) and yard work (pool cleaning) support from Advancing Forward Together.

Prior to starting with my Kylie, I was feeling isolated due to the decline in my mobility. I had stopped being able to access the community and was my mental health was declining. Kylie is patient and kind and is always offering ideas on things to do and see when I don’t have plans. Sometimes our days are filled with hospital visits or personal care other days can be art classes, movies and we even went to the Ekka. I have just spent 12 weeks in critical care in hospital however I still opted for my support worker to be the one that came when she could to shower me, wash my hair, fed me and now that I have a stoma, she has gone through the training with me on how to manage this new challenge in my life.

I am finally home again this week, and I look forward to heading back out into the community in time for Christmas, no request is to much for Kylie to make me feel like I am cared for like family. She has become an integral part of not only my life but also my families. I couldn’t recommend Advancing Forward Together more for their consistency, caring, kindness and commitment to me every day.

In May 23 I was initially looking for a support worker for my daughter who is Autistic and ADHD, I had never had someone I didn’t know assist with my children, so this step was scary, and I was nervous.
I had my first meeting with Jess and Dempsey and loved their outlook and their family take on people, they knew answers to all my questions and were 100% there for my family. By the end of the meeting, I ended up moving over to have them also changing over to their Company for support coordination.

I could not be happier with the progress my daughter has made in such a short time. The daily support is fantastic, my daughters support worker is always on time, consistent and present the programs/excursions that they run, are just amazing and for the first time ever my daughter has made some real connections with other children. My daughter is always smiling from ear to ear when finishing her support time, always having to tell us about what was learnt or achieved. She counts down for her days excitedly.

We are so happy with the support, care, love, and professionalism that is provided, the team communicate with us and include us as a family which we love. My daughter isn’t a $ sign and isn’t treated like she has a disability she is a person with individual needs that are catered to along with now being a part of a bigger family.

There is something magical about this group. Our daughter is always keen to join in on the amazing activities offered and always comes home joyous and invigorated. She has more enthusiasm to participate, more lasting energy while there and comes home happy. What more could we want for our loved ones?
